Austria's role in the Western Balkans was, among other things, a topic at a meeting with the Austrian ambassador to Serbia, Christian Ebner, and the Austrian economic delegate on site, Jürgen Schreder.

Belgrade. Austria is considered a strong and loyal partner to the states of the Western Balkans, both politically, culturally and economically. Austria is also a supporter of the reform measures that Serbia must implement as part of the accession process to the European Union.

Austria, like the entire EU, is concerned about the ongoing tensions between Serbia and Kosovo. The conflict is paralyzing both states on their way to the European Union.
